With scheduled launches in the hundreds each year, today’s aerospace hardware cannot fail, and must be tested to NASA standards and safety requirements. Space Valves, a startup in aerospace manufacturing, used an Alicat mass flow meter to speed up and streamline their valve leak testing application.

Higher resolution and more repeatable data than a bubble test:

  • Data logging for continuous performance monitoring
  • Accuracy: ± 0.6% of reading or ± 0.1% of full scale
  • Flow measurement range: 0.01 – 100% of full scale
  • Sensor response time: < 1 ms
  • Warm-up time: < 1 ms
