Engineering units

Alicat engineering units

Most Alicat mass flow and pressure instruments have user-selectable engineering units. Below is a list of all engineering units for pressure, flow, and temperature.

Alicat pressure controllers and transducers have dedicated pressure sensors that are referenced to absolute, gauge, or differential pressure. Engineering units may be changed within these pressure types, but the reference may not be changed (e.g., from absolute to gauge).

Most Alicat mass flow meters and controllers display absolute pressure only, but battery-powered models (e.g., MB, MWB, FP-25) use their integrated barometers to display gauge pressure as well. Barometer readings for these instruments are in units of absolute pressure.
