P–Absolute and Gauge Pressure Transducers

In-line digital pressure monitoring in real time

Measure the absolute pressure (referenced to vacuum) or gauge pressure (referenced to local barometric pressure) of gases or liquids at any point in your process. The in-line design allows you to quantify the pressure of a flowing process without introducing a dead-ended obstruction to your system.

  • Fast & Accurate. Measure pressure with NIST-traceable accuracy and a response time of just 5 ms.
  • Easy to Use. As soon as you turn on the pressure gauge, it’s ready to display live pressure readings in your choice of engineering units.
  • Connected. Alicat pressure transducers feature dual digital and analog communications by default and can be ordered with Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, Profibus or Modbus (RTU and TCP/IP) communications for easy integration into your digital industrial or laboratory network.

  • Absolute pressure ranges (referenced to vacuum)
    • P: max 0-3000 psia, min 0-15 psia
    • PS: max 0-3000 psia, min 0-30 psia
  • Gauge pressure ranges (referenced to atmosphere)
    • P: max 0*-3000 psig, min 0*-2 inH2Og
    • PS: max 0*-3000 psig, min 0*-5 psig
    • *Negative gauge pressure readings (to -15 psig) can also be included in gauge ranges.

Performance

  • Turndown ratio: 200:1
  • Standard accuracy calibration, NIST-traceable: +/- 0.25% of the full-scale range
  • Optional high-accuracy calibration, NIST-traceable: +/- 0.125% of the full-scale range
  • Repeatability: 0.08% of the full-scale range
  • Typical measurement response time constant: 5 ms (dependent upon line sizing and the volumes involved)
  • No warm-up time required

Operating Conditions

  • Compatible gas media: all non-corrosive gases (P/PS). Liquids and corrosive gases require an S-series device (PS).
  • Operating temperature: -10°C to +60°C
  • Burst pressure: 3x the full-scale range

Corrosive Gases (PS series)

Instruments in the standard P series are also available with an optional “S” configuration (PS) for use with liquids and corrosive gases. In this configuration, we upgrade the flow body and sensor to 316L stainless steel and the elastomers to FFKM.
