ISO 9001 Certification

Consistently improving quality and ensuring we meet customer’s requirements is the foundation of our business. We are proud to work with the International Standards Organization to ensure our quality management system is the best it can be.

NIST-Traceable Calibration

All of our instruments come with a calibration certificate showing their traceability back to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) measurement standards. This traceability is recognized by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures and National Metrology Institutes around the world.

EU Directives

Low Voltage Directive (CE)

Alicat instruments that bear the CE mark comply with the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.

Electronic Waste Directive (WEEE)

Alicat instruments that bear the CE mark comply with the requirements of the European Union’s Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC.

REACH Conformity

Alicat instruments that bear the CE mark comply with the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation, as outlined by the European Parliament. These products do not contain any Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC).

RoHS Compliance

Alicat instruments are compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). The European Union’s RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU restricts the use of specific hazardous materials— lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), and the phthalates DEHP, BBP, BBP, and DIBP—in electrical and electronic products.

Alicat instruments that bear the EFUP label are China RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. China’s Administrative Measure on the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products, sometimes called China RoHS 2, restricts the use of specific substances including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and certain halogenated flame retardants such as PBB and PBDE in electrical and electronic equipment.

Conflict Free Minerals

Alicat Scientific does not directly purchase any conflict minerals from any source and does not knowingly procure any product containing conflict minerals. We encourage our suppliers to adopt similar policies and management systems with respect to conflict minerals.

Optional Certifications

CSA/ATEX Certification

Our CSA Class 1 Division 2 (ATEX Class 1 Zone 2) certified devices are approved for use in environments where ignitable gases are present.

ISO 17025 Certification

If any Alicat instrument requires ISO 17025 calibration, Alicat will perform the calibration through trusted 3rd-party calibration services. Upon calibration of the Alicat device, the customer receives the standard Alicat NIST-traceable calibration documentation as well as a 17025 certificate of conformity provided by the 3rd-party. 17025 calibrations are available with L.A.B. or A2LA accreditation.

Oxygen Cleaning

Alicat devices ordered with oxygen cleaning (OXC appears in the part number) will be cleaned in accordance with ASTM G93, verification Type I, Test1, Type 2, Test 1 & 2, Level C and are compliant with CGA4.1.
