A live demo of IS-Max, our intrinsically safe mass flow controller for explosive gas atmospheres. As air passes through our display board, attendees can observe subtle, rapidly occurring changes in flow rate through the backlit display and connected monitor. Fluctuations barely detectable with commonly used rotameters are not only registered but visually mapped through FlowVision, Alicat’s data logging and scripting software. In the field, I.S. devices can communicate over MODBUS or several other protocols so you can get multivariate reporting, including relative humidity, without having to enter the zone 0 area.

The first to be certified in North America, Europe, und internationally, Alicat Intrinsically Safe instruments can easily be used in hazloc division 1 areas for fuel cell test stands or electrolysis gases to ensure consistent, standardized data, no matter where in the world your business operates. These mass flow controllers are the only devices of their kind to incorporate measurement and control into one spark-safe housing that can be placed directly in a hazardous zone where explosive gases are constantly present.

Great solutions aren’t always complex. For years, users have appreciated the integrated display on Alicat’s main product line for easy troubleshooting and at-a-glance reference. So we thought, “why not add it to CODA™ too?” Alicat’s miniaturized Coriolis controllers, meters, and pump systems now include integrated backlit displays by default.  CODA is valued for its low-flow accuracy and fluid-agnostic measurement that performs superbly on liquids and on gas.
