How do I place an order?

There are a few ways to place an order:

  1. Call Alicat at +1.888.290.6060. You’ll be connected with an Applications Engineer who will work with you to ensure that you have a quote and can take your order.
  2. You can email purchase orders to orders@alicat.com.
  3. Get a quote, place an order, and get application help from a regional representative.

Can I place an order online?

Because every Alicat device is tailored to each customer’s needs and are often highly customized, we have a limited number of products that can be ordered online. To make sure you get the products you need as quickly as possible, we want to make sure we have all the correct information to build instruments that suit your purpose perfectly. You can place an order by sending it to orders@alicat.com, by calling +1 888.290.6060 or giving it to your regional representative.

How do I get a quote?

  3. You can also get a quote from an Applications Engineer using the online chat service.
  4. Call Alicat at +1.888.290.6060. You’ll be connected with an Applications Engineer who will work with you to ensure that you have a quote for the instruments and accessories you need.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept all major credit cards, you can also pay by wire transfer or check.

Can I set up billing terms with Alicat?

Establishing billing terms allows us to complete orders even faster. If you wish to establish billing terms with Alicat, just ask when placing an order and we’ll send you the simple one page form to set up your account. You can also download the PDF below.

Do you offer discounts?

We have discounts for educational institutions or for quantity orders over 15 units.

I have an Alicat representative in my area, can I still purchase directly from Alicat?

We want you to have the kind of service that best suits you. We recommend working with a local Alicat representative, if one is available. They are a great help when it comes to finding additional flow components, getting eyes-on advice for your application, after-purchase support and even dealing with time zone differences—and they cost nothing more. Are there any special requirements for international orders?

Some, yes. On all international orders, we are required by law to obtain an End User Declaration (EUD). This document includes a few simple questions about the end user and application of the order. The EUD must be completed before we can ship orders.

Because international orders also normally involve banking fees and transfers, monetary conversions, local taxes and shipping through customs, a quote from Alicat is rarely complete. If Alicat has a distributor for your country, they are the best at handling these additional complications, in your language. Items being returned for service should be sent under the 9801.10.0000 tariff code and the attached paperwork should be filled out and sent with the shipment. This allows for the items to be processed as a temporary duty free (or minimal duty fees) shipment, as the item has previously been shipped and taxed.

Where can I find the export classification codes for international orders?

The lead time on my order is different from my quote. Why is that?

Lead times are updated daily, so differences may occur. We are constantly adjusting production schedules based on the factory workload and other factors to ensure that when an order is placed, we provide the most accurate lead time. Please double check your order acknowledgement to ensure that you know the correct lead time for your order. You can also confirm lead time with us when you place your order.

The lead time on my quote won’t meet my timeline. Are there expedited options?

If you need your Alicat instrument or service faster than the current lead time, we do offer expedited options. For new devices we can usually expedite production to within two business days. The same applies for recalibrations and services. All our expedited services must be approved by Alicat and add an additional fee. If you need expedited services, contact an Applications Engineer at +1 888.290.6060.

I need service, recalibration or repair on an existing instrument. How do I do that?

Similar to placing an order for a new device, starting a service order begins by contacting Alicat. Please let the Application Engineer know what problems are occurring and what troubleshooting or repairs have been done already to help speed up the service process. Once we know what service or services you need, from a basic evaluation or recalibration to more in depth reconfiguration or repair, we’ll get you a quote on the service, including current lead time for services.

Where is the closest Alicat service center to me?

For most people, the Alicat headquarters and factory in Arizona, United States will be the closest. However, we also have Alicat offices and service centers in the Netherlands, China and India and a certified calibration center in Germany.
