Using MEMS thermal technology, the Alicat engineering team identified a critical point of a small footprint, affordability, excellent repeatability, and impressive accuracy. BASIS mass flow devices are easily automated and integrated, especially in systems with other Alicat devices.<\/p>\n<p>BASIS 2 meters and controllers boast the following specifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Accuracy<\/strong>: As good as \u00b1\u00a01.5% reading or \u00b1\u00a00.2% full scale, gas dependent<\/li>\n<li><strong>Repeatability (2\u03c3)<\/strong>: \u00b1\u00a00.25% of reading or \u00b1\u00a00.05% of full scale<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maximum footprint<\/strong>\u00a0(WxDxH): 3.31\u201d x 1.00\u201d x 1.83\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_heading title=&#8221;Compact and durable, while feature-filled and accurate&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; title_level=&#8221;h3&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][\/et_pb_heading][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||2rem||false|false&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The compact form factor of BASIS 2 is ideal for integration into portable and low\u2011mass gas mixing systems. The all\u2011metal flow bodies mean they have none of the fragility of similar plastic assemblies. Users can run the devices immediately with digital inputs, analog voltage or current regulation\u2014without needing to disassemble or rewire the instrument. Although small in size, Alicat BASIS 2 provide best\u2011in\u2011class accuracy, nine calibrated gases for in\u2011field gas selection, a totalizer function for dosing and dispensing, and easy digital or analog communications. Full scale flow ranges for the BASIS 2 product line run from 100 SCCM to 20 SLPM at this time, with plans for an expanded range of flows to be released soon.<\/p>\n<p>David Davis, VP of Engineering at Alicat said, \u201cWe\u2019re so glad to back this product with Alicat engineering and production.
