With this growth in flow range, users can more easily scale up their benchtop and mid\u2011scale prototypes to production\u2011sized systems, without the need to adapt their communications or scripting to a new language.<\/p>\n<p>The increased capability is made possible through engineering a new, higher flow variant of the Rolamite valve, Alicat\u2019s proprietary solution for fast\u2011responding proportional control. The new design, combined with Alicat\u2019s expertise with laminar flow enables increased opportunities in hydrogen, such as electrolyzer test stands for renewable energy, as well as new applications in manufacturing, and environmental monitoring. Alicat Scientific, now offering flow rates as high as 12,000 SLPM using laminar differential pressure technology, aims to benefit users of industrial\u2011scale processes, like bioreactors for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and breweries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough experience and ingenuity, we doubled the highest gas flow rates our instruments can control to 12,000 SLPM,\u201d said Salman Duad, Vice President of Sales at Alicat Scientific. \u201cThese devices were developed in close collaboration with our long\u2011standing customers in the hydrogen fuel cell and large\u2011scale bioreactor markets, who have been actively testing them over the past few months and have reported excellent results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The increase to 12,000 SLPM applies to all M\/MC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/products\/gas-flow\/mass-flow-meter\/laminar-dp-mass-flow-meters\/\">mass flow meters<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/products\/gas-flow\/mass-flow-controller\/laminar-dp-mass-flow-controllers\/\">mass flow controllers<\/a>, including high pressure units and stainless steel devices. M\/MC mass flow instruments offer IO\u2011Link, MODBUS and other communication options using industrial protocol or analog. They are pre\u2011loaded with over 98 gas selections on standard units and over 130 on corrosion resistant models.<\/p>\n<p>Alicat flow and pressure devices perform such varied activities as perfecting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/industries\/hydrogen\/\">hydrogen-electric energy generation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/industries\/glass-and-optical-fiber\/\">drawing glass optical fibers for telecommunications<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/industries\/aerospace-defense\/\">testing rocket parts for leaks<\/a>, heating furnaces for ceramics, and generating pharmaceuticals through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alicat.com\/industries\/bioreactor-fermentation\/\">biochemical processing<\/a>.
