MDC integrated Alicat vacuum mass flow controllers into their XpressStick™. The mass flow instrument precisely controls gas flows of up to 20 SLPM with real-time mass flow, volumetric flow, absolute pressure, and temperature measurements. It also provides gas programming functionality to the gas connection module, which links pressurized gas inputs to vacuum chambers. An integrated display allows for the gas module to be programmed directly from the device, and gas type can be easily switched between 98 onboard gas calibrations.

With 30 ms control response times to setpoint changes, this device improves MDC’s vacuum coating end products and helps eliminate target poisoning. Additionally, no warm-up time means the XpressStick is ready to control process flows in just one second.
